This beautiful bone bracelet was handmade in Kenya, East Africa. The long beads were hand carved out of cow bones into a gourd shape. They were then batiked with a unique black and white print. Batik is a time-consuming process. First wax is applied to the bones in the desired pattern. The bones are then dipped in dye, parts that are waxed don't take the dye. Once the wax is removed, a print like the one on this bracelet is produced. We have a few of these bracelets--the one you get might look slightly different since they are handmade. They do stretch to fit any wrist.
Materials used: Cow bone, black Maasai beads
Size: Bracelets are approximately 7" unstretched.
