This beautiful handmade pendant necklace is from Kenya. Jewelry like this are traditionally worn by Maasai women. Like most ethnic groups around the world, the Maasai people are characterized and identified by their dress and ornamentation. Their jewelry spots bright colors, intricate patterns, Jewelry that dangle, jingles and catches the eye. Unlike most Maasai jewelry, this necklace is not very colorful, it only has various shades of blue. The pendant has 3 strands dangling from it which are accented with little shells on the ends. It has a metal clasps to close.
